Irrespective of the procedure planned, the surgical assessment is identical. It consists of:

1. A consultation with:

• The surgeon;
• The nutritionist (2 meetings);
• A psychologist;
• An endocrinologist.

2. A full check-up including:

• A pre-surgical cardiological evaluation;
• A comprehensive blood test;
• A radiological evaluation;
• A gastroscopy;
• A pulmonological assessment with respiratory tests if sleep apnoea is suspected.

3. You will be seen by your surgeon a second time to evaluate the check-up you were given, decide on the type of operation and set the date for surgery.
