The physical medicine and rehabilitation department is responsible for the diagnosis and management of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as degenerative musculoskeletal diseases, conditions of the vertebral column (neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, etc.), pain medicine and sports medicine.

Our rehabilitation department, housed at the Méridien location, offers cross-disciplinary management to patients with the following characteristics:

• following a rehabilitation plan: discharge, increased independence, post-surgical rehabilitation;
• qualify to receive cross-disciplinary management in cases of stroke or spinal cord injury or plexus injury, after major surgery, a joint prosthesis, evidence of loss of functional independence following an inflammatory/oncological disease;
• able to follow a cross-disciplinary rehabilitation programme, of up to 60 minutes a day.

Admission for a hospital stay is accepted based on a multidisciplinary consultation (supervising physician, head nurse, social worker) based on the patient’s file. As a rule, cross-disciplinary rehabilitation is started, in the case of patients needing it, in the normal hospitalisation department in order to reduce invalidity time and hospitalisation as much as possible.
