New Covid testing rules have started.
Do you know what to do if you are asked for a Covid test before leaving on a trip or if you have to be hospitalized?

When do I need to be tested when I go to the clinic?

In case you need to be hospitalized, testing differs depending on the situation.

  • On a planned admission, if you have no symptoms, there will be no automatic testing. However, there is an exception: if you are admitted to cardiac surgery and neurosurgery for an operation, then a test will be performed by us.
  • On an urgent admission, you will go through our emergency room and be tested automatically.
  • If you are admitted to the intensive care unit, you will also be automatically tested.
  • During an inpatient stay, you will no longer be automatically tested every week unless you have symptoms or 2 confirmed cases on the ward you are on.

PCR testing is maintained for all high-risk contacts, with a second test after 7 days and preventive isolation.

When a patient develops symptoms, he is routinely tested.

Where can I get tested before I travel?

As of December 1st, pre-travel testing will take place at our Meridien site (Rue du Méridien 100, 1210 Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode).
The center is open without appointment from Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 16:00, except on public holidays.

The Pachéco testing and vaccination center located next to the Botanique site is now exclusively a vaccination center.

Where can I get vaccinated against Covid?

To be vaccinated in Brussels, go to the Pachéco vaccination center (Boulevard Pachéco 42, 1000 Brussels).
This vaccination center is open without appointment from Monday to Saturday from 9:45 to 17:30.
The next dose, according to your vaccination schedule, will be administered upon presentation of your identity card.

We remain at your disposal during your visit to the clinic Saint-Jean for any question related to testing.
