The Clinic Saint-Jean 2023 rannual report (2.07 MB) "pdf" (in French) provides an overview of the year’s major achievements in terms of infrastructure, innovations, partnerships and scientific activity. Through some key figures and substantial explanation, our clinic, speaking with one voice, presents its patient-centric strategy. Despite a particularly difficult global context affecting the sector, Clinic Saint-Jean’s leitmotivs are more relevant than ever: respect, quality and collaboration. We wish you happy reading and invite you to have a look at the following introduction by our CEO, Alexandre Deschuymere.
2023 ... A year of challenges and resilience in the face of unprecedented cuts within the hospital sector.

More than ever, our patients remain our top priority. It is therefore essential to provide the necessary human resources and infrastructure to respond to their emerging needs, all with a greater focus on sustainable development and organisational efficiency.
The year 2023 was characterised by a resurgence of our activity, a trend that must absolutely continue. With the completion of several construction and renovation projects, our facility now has a great deal of new infrastructure, which will help us further expand our activity. In the third quarter, we could already see some initial promising signs that confirm this. […]
Another major challenge is attracting and recruiting motivated and skilled professionals to ensure the continuity of our inpatient and outpatient care. Our employees are and will continue to be our best ambassadors, so let us all take pride in our work and show our love for Clinic Saint-Jean, too.
Another challenge to emerge has been the increasingly inappropriate and/or anti-social behaviour of patients and/or visitors towards our healthcare professionals. To best support them, we need to work together and find alternatives to ensure everyone’s safety.

The current socio-economic climate is forcing us to look at hospitals in a different way, gaining more control over the cost structure in terms of infrastructure, processes and efficiency. While this does require us all to be disciplined, it also demands creativity and innovation in responding better to the emerging needs of our patients. Our medical and scientific expertise, nursing know-how and administrative and social advice are major strengths, helping set us apart from other healthcare institutions. Patients are aware of this and acknowledge it to us.
To continue growing sustainably as a hospital, we must also focus on the issue of energy and take appropriate action. This is why we are investing in a range of eco-friendly measures to reduce our carbon footprint, for example. […]
Due to the hospital’s restructuring, we have been part of the loco-regional hospital network H.uni for the past two years, providing hospitals with the opportunity to establish both medical and operational partnerships.
