History of radiology

Radiology owes its origins to the discovery of x-rays. Discovered by a German physicist (Roentgen) in 1895, x-rays would give rise to radiology in the months following its discovery. Since then, it has seen spectacular developments with the advent of a succession of new medical imaging techniques: ultrasonography, CT scanning, MRI, etc.
