Do you need a mammogram within the next few weeks? At the Breast Clinic of Clinique Saint-Jean, we do everything possible to provide fast, reassuring, and high-quality care. Thanks to the extended availability of our mammography units, we currently offer some of the shortest waiting times in Brussels.
How long does it take to get a mammogram?
In some hospitals, waiting times for a mammogram can extend to several months. At our Breast Clinic, we have expanded our capacity to meet demand more efficiently. Depending on availability, an appointment can generally be scheduled within just a few days to a few weeks.
To book an appointment, please contact our Contact Center at 02/221.92.21.
What should I do in case of an urgent concern?
Have you discovered a lump in your breast? Are you experiencing unusual pain? Has your doctor identified a condition that requires prompt assessment?
In these situations, the standard appointment procedure does not apply. You can contact the Breast Clinic secretariat on 02/221.97.97 or the Contact Center on 02/221.92.21. By explaining your symptoms, you will be offered an appointment as quickly as possible.
In addition, the Breast Clinic offers a walk-in consultation every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., allowing our specialist team to assess urgent cases without a prior appointment.
What about organized breast cancer screening?
Women aged 50 to 69 years are invited every two years to participate free of charge in the organized breast cancer screening programme through the mammotest.
As part of this preventive screening programme, the usual non-urgent waiting times apply. Since invitations are sent well in advance, women are encouraged to schedule their examination promptly upon receiving their invitation.
Following a mammotest, final results are generally available within 2 to 3 weeks through the Brussels Health Network or via your general practitioner.
Specialized and compassionate care
Beyond rapid access to diagnostic examinations, the Breast Clinic supports patients throughout every stage of their care journey. If you have any questions or concerns, our breast care nurse can be reached Monday to Friday between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 02/221.90.42 or by email at senologie@clstjean.be.
Because early diagnosis can make a significant difference, we are committed to providing fast access to mammography services, multidisciplinary expertise, and personalized support in a caring and reassuring environment.
